Hello there! You’ll below a list of questions and queries that are frequently ask of us. To save you the hassle of having to mail us and then wait for our reply, we have collated the questions to form our very own Gimme Gimme Sprees FAQ! Team Gimme Gimme officially started on the 27th November 2008, and we are working hard to establish ourselves as a trustworthy and dependable website for online sprees. Currently, we have plans to expand but those plans will only be unveiled when the time is ripe! =) Do you do meet ups? Currently we do not offer meet ups. Do you charge for mail locally? Only registered mail. Currently, we offer free shipping via normal mail. =) Why is the exchange rate so high? As of 29th December 2008, the exchange rate is US$1= SG$1.4413. Our exchange rate is currently set at US$1 = SG$1.50. This is to offset any changes in the exchange rate when we place the order and also the different exchange rate employed by the bank. So if you think about it, it’s really not much. =) How much is the shipping fee? Shipping costs varies from person to person (check the terms and conditions page), it depends on how much you order and the amount of people participating in the spree. How are the shipping units counted? Shipping is divided into shipping units: 0.5 units - Jewelry, Scarves, Underwear, Socks 1 unit - Tees, Shorts, Light Skirts 1.5 units - Dresses, Light Denim, Shirts (Guys) 2 units - Jeans, Hoodies (Girls) 2.5 units - Hoodies (Guys) How long does it take to ship? It depends on the merchant and the shipping options that are provided really. Currently your order might take anytime between 1-3 weeks to be shipped to Singapore. HOWEVER, where possible and feasible, Team Gimme Gimme is committed to provide you an excellent spree experience by opting for a faster shipping option. How are the shipping costs settled? Different sprees have different shipping costs settlement. Generally the shipping costs are separated into two payments. Initial Shipping Fee is what you pay as a deposit. It is set at either SG$1 or SG$2 depending on the item. Usually, it would be enough to settle the shipping costs. However, should the eventual shipping costs is more than the sum collected from the Initial Shipping Fee, after making calculations using the shipping units assigned to each goods, you’ll be charged for the remainder. HOWEVER, there are some sprees, whereby the prices are ALL INCLUSIVE. This means that you only need to pay a one-time price for the goods. You only need to top up, should you require postage via registered mail. Otherwise, you just need to pay the price as stated. After payment, what should we do? Email us with your transaction details such as the amount transferred, transaction reference number and the date & time of the transaction. If you did the transaction at the ATM, it is much appreciated if you could take a picture of your receipt and email it to us. =) We require this details as sometimes 2 or more persons are expected to transfer the same amount to us, so it can hard for us to trace the payee at times. Following that, just visit our site to check for regular updates. We will also inform you if there are any issues or updates. What if we don’t get our product after three weeks? 2 to 3 weeks is just an estimated time frame. As best as possible we usually opt for shipping options that are tracking enabled. So we will be able to tell what’s the delay. Don’t worry! Let us do the chasing! Do you do refunds? In the case of wrong size/color, Team Gimme Gimme will not be held responsible. HOWEVER, if the goods have been damaged during the process of shipping, we will help you bargain for a new one from the merchants. We cannot guarantee that anything will come out of it and we are not responsible for any extra charges that you may incur if the merchant requires you to ship the item back to them for an exchange. What are the available kinds of sprees that you hold? Currently we organize sprees for brands such as Threadless, Designbyhumans, ELF Cosmetics, Aeropostale and much much more. We intend to expand the list. So do email us with your suggestions. =) Can I request for certain kinds of sprees? We don’t see why not? Just tag us on the tagboard requesting for the sprees that you would like, and we will reply to you as soon as we see it. Is there anything we should do before ordering? Reading the Terms & Conditions and this FAQ is a good thing to do before you make that order! Besides that, just keep on shouting ‘Gimme! Gimme!’ whenever you see whatever you like! Can you forward the spree deadline? For certain sprees, there is no real deadline. This means, when we feel that we’ve collected enough orders, we’ll just close the deal. Can we request to receive regular updates? Sure! Just email us requesting regular updates! We fully intend to customize your spree experience to your own needs. =) Well, as long as they are within our means!
